Ancestry in Indiana

According to the United States Census Bureau’s estimation, the population of Indiana on July 1, 2019, was 6,732,219 and increased 3.83% since the Census of 2010 in the United States.

The state’s density was 181.0 persons on each square mile, the 16th-highest in the United States. In the year 2010, U.S. Census, Indiana's population center is northwest of Sheridan, Hamilton County.

In 2005, 77.7% of Indiana inhabitants lived in urban counties, 16.5% lived in micropolitan territories, and 5.9% lived in the non-core territory.
